Only the willfully gullible -- like me -- would think I'd have any chance discouraging maurauding monkeys with rubber snakes. What can I say? I had to it a go.
Step 1: buy rubber snakes and paint them red.

Step 2: Place snakes in, on, or near bird feeder
Check
Observe monkey behavior.
If monkeys are momentarily anxious about the snakes, they appear quickly to notice snakes are stationary ... and they ignore them.
A neighbor suggests I keep an eye out for monkeys and, when they appear, throw the snakes in a way that suggests to the monkeys the snakes are leaping towards them.
Okay. Tha'ts worth a try...I guess....
